This year, our conference will be held in the beautiful Roman city of Chester in Cheshire.
The Venue – The Queen Hotel is situated directly opposite the Chester railway station. The hotel is close to the M53 and the M56 motorway and Manchester airport is only 10 miles away. It is a 10 minute walk into the centre of Chester from the hotel.
The 4* hotel is a Grade 2 listed building. It opened in 1860 and has a wealth of history. There is a sense of grandeur and opulence but it still manages to retain a modern feel. Featuring creative decor with bold colours and plush fabrics, the high-end rooms offer free WiFi. Some come with 4-poster beds.
Amenities include a modern restaurant and a bar offering regular live music, as well as a beauty treatment room and a gym. There's also meeting space and an Italian-style terraced garden with a life-size chess set.

Bedrooms – We think the standard of the rooms is excellent. NIMH members and NIMH conference delegates can avail themselves of a heavily discounted rate of £89.00 per night for single occupancy and £99.00 per night for double occupancy. The rates include breakfast and use of the fitness centre. Please note: there is no pool available at this hotel.
Restaurant – There is a wide choice either at breakfast buffet or prepared to order. The 2 course hot/cold lunch and the evening meals offered at the hotel are of a high standard and a reasonable cost but if you don’t want to eat in the hotel, the city centre is just 10 minutes walk and has a variety of different restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets.
Meeting rooms - The meeting rooms are all on the same level and all have free Wi-Fi available.
